Looking to mute players in Forza Horizon 5? Well, there’s some good news and bad news. The good news is there is a way to mute players. The bad news is it’s not easy or convenient… yet. The game does come out tomorrow, so there may be updates to come.
As previously mentioned, Forza Horizon 5 comes out tomorrow, Nov. 9, and we could not be more excited. As the newest Forza Horizon entry in the series, these games differ from their relative Forza Motorsports series in tone. The Horizon games focus more on adventure and surrealism while still offering a realistic racing experience for all to enjoy.
How to Mute Players in Forza Horizon 5
In previous Forza Horizon games, voice chat has been session-wide, meaning that any online player in your game world will be able to chat no matter where they are on the map. It doesn’t work by proximity, but by the general lobby. Voice chat is also present in races.
At the time of writing this, there is no way to mute players in Forza Horizon 5. Though it is still early and will most likely get patched, not having a way to ride in silence can be frustrating for players. In previous Forza Horizon games, players could access the Driver’s List and mute each chatty driver one by one, which was annoying that you couldn’t turn all of them off, but at least there was an option. Luckily there is a workaround.
If you’re looking for an end all be all mute for Xbox, go under your Privacy settings and set it to only allow voice communication between your friends. That is the surefire way to block any unwanted road rage.
